A Super Rookie? I Only Research Weird Pokemon!

After transmigrating into the Pokemon world, young Natsume binds himself to a Pokemon Research System and refuses to follow the beaten path. While others raise orthodox Pokemon, he obsessively studies all kinds of bizarre specimens! Everyone in Pallet Town avoids him because he can turn Rotom into a "Gundam form," feed Oddish cow dung to study "self-production and self-consumption," and stubbornly try to catch "the human-shaped Pokemon Ash."

He creates a video-game-style battle arena where HP bars and levels become visible, and potions restore health instantly, tormenting Team Rocket until they question their sanity. He mistakenly draws a muscular skeletal diagram for Pikachu, making the Electric Mouse furious. He picks through stones and finds a pile of Evolution Stones in the scraps, leaving the Gym guides stunned.

Professor Oak is tricked into staying up all night revising his paper. Ash is talked into taking a "special Pikachu" on the road. Natsume even dares to talk big during battles with Legendary Pokemon: "Giovanni wants Mewtwo? Get Rotom in the sludge truck. We'll finish him with Explosion!"

This eccentric researcher may seem unreliable, but he actually harbors Pokemon research secrets capable of overturning the world. In his hands, every good-for-nothing can become an absurdly powerful fighter!
