Special Forces: Is It Really That Absurd for a Rookie to Beat the Battalion Commander?

On new recruit Sun Xiao's first day, Fan Tianlei's "welcome hazing" turns into his personal nightmare show: the brigade commander is tied to a tank and used as a tactical mop while the whole brigade watches.

The Red Cell selection turns into a scene from a horror movie: a bullet carves the word "loser" into the bull's-eye of He Chenguang's ten-ring target, Wang Yanbing drops to his knees after three seconds of hand-to-hand combat to study the footprints, and Li Erniu's worldview collapses after watching Sun Xiao rip an armored vehicle apart with his bare hands.

During a full-army exercise, the Blue Army command center's giant screen broadcasts Sun Xiao's tutorial: How to use the brigade commander as bait to carry out a decapitation strike.

At an international competition, the foreign teams all withdraw: "His very existence violates the Geneva Conventions!"

Fan Tianlei clutches his resignation papers and begs through his tears: "Let him go! I'll transfer to a civilian post!"

The military region commander looks at Fan Tianlei, who's been welded onto a missile truck, and makes his decision: "Quick! Give this recruit a special rank, one designed to treat Brigade Commander Syndrome!"
