Searching for Immortals in the Clouds

Synopsis of The Path to Immortality in Cloud's Depths

Su Yan is a young man afflicted with a congenital cold meridian condition and sentenced to die before the age of sixteen. Desperate to find a chance at survival, he follows his mother's dying wish and makes for the Qingyun Sect. On a snowy winter night, he enters the mountains alone, bringing three Dew-Congealing Herbs he dug up through the night as a gift, only to be looked down on and bullied by the sect's gate disciples. Fortunately, Steward Li takes pity on him, giving him a Body-Warming Pill to ease his condition and the precious opportunity to take part in the Qi-Guiding Trial.

Guiding qi is already difficult for ordinary people, and for Su Yan, whose cold meridians plague him, every step is thorny. With the deadline of death closing in on one side and the harsh road of cultivation on the other, he carries both a desperate longing to live and an unwavering devotion to the immortal path. At the Qingyun Sect's trial grounds, he is about to embark on a cultivation journey where he must stake his life to contend with fate. A lowborn youth defies destiny through sheer perseverance, seeking an immortal encounter in the depths of despair.
