My Years Running an Incense and Candle Shop on Funeral Street

I thought inheriting the incense and candle shop on the old street was the low point of my life, but it turned out to be just the beginning. My name is Wu Xiaoxie, an utterly ordinary graduate who can't find a job. Alongside my chubby uncle, whose ancestors supposedly had ties to Uncle Lin Jiu, though he only learned a bit of half-baked magic, and Liu Qingqing, a sharp-tongued livestreaming girl who only has eyes for money, I begin a hilarious life of "ghost busting" on Funeral Street.

Other people open shops to welcome customers. We open ours to "welcome ghosts." A fox spirit comes begging for a title in the middle of the night? A thousand-year-old zombie dancing online? A water ghost dragging people into a game of mahjong? A failed exam in a spirit-writing session at an abandoned school, followed by revenge on society?

Don't be afraid! Uncle Fat's peachwood sword may be blunt, but it can still smack things. My dumb luck works sometimes and fails others, and Qingqing's livestream tips are our strongest force for driving out evil!

Life is all about daily necessities, plus the occasional ghost hunt or demon subjugation. This is a collection of strange folk tales set in a modern city, filled with laughter and tears, thrills and danger. Grab your sunflower seeds and a stool. Our story begins now!
