Scheming to Conquer the Realm, I Loved You by Mistake

On the eve of the decisive battle, my beloved and military strategist, Shen Zhifei, held me in his arms.

He said, "Jinghong, when we return victorious tomorrow, I'll lay down my armor for you and spend the rest of my life painting your brows."

I believed him.

The next day, carrying the map of the march he had drawn with his own hands, I led thirty thousand of my finest troops into the place where he had prepared our graves: Juelong Valley.

Only when flames and a rain of arrows swallowed all my comrades did I understand. He hadn't offered me a vast realm, but planned to trade my life for a century of peace for his homeland.

Everyone thought that Chu Jinghong, the female war god, was dead.

But I crawled out of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.

Shen Zhifei, you had better pray that your grand vision of a golden age is impregnable, because I'm back to overturn your chessboard.
