The Bodhi Tribulation of a Hundred Lifetimes

This is a tragic, heart-wrenching epic romance. Ananda and the Maiden of Magadha, as described in the Shurangama Sutra, are married for a hundred lifetimes. In every life, they have different identities and experiences, with tangled affections and disparities in status. They know sweetness and sorrow, unrequited love and fiery passion, tasting every bitter and sweet flavor of love and desire. In the end, Ananda devotes himself to Buddhism, and the two enter the Buddhist faith together, attaining sainthood. The prose is smooth, the emotions are delicately portrayed, and the winding plot is engrossing.
