My History of Mental Illness

I was a normal person, but my family had me committed to a psychiatric hospital, thinking I was mentally ill. I was admitted and discharged several times, going from resisting to being forced to accept it, then to thinking it was normal, and finally to accepting it completely with a sense of resignation, until I felt nothing at all. I want to know how people can take something wrong and accept it as an established fact, until everyone becomes numb inside.
