King of Magic

After many years in exile, Marcus is about to return home. A powerful mage with few equals, Marcus lives in a world filled with monsters and powerful masters, many of whom have a bad history with him. But he didn't come back for revenge or for a fight. All Marcus wants to do is reconnect with old friends, build himself a house, and maybe groom a successor or two. Alas, the world doesn't stand still with Marcus in exile, and not everyone is content to let go of old grudges. Strange things are also happening around the world, suggesting that a disaster of unknown nature is coming. Still, where there's a will, there's a way.
