Maduro's Revenge

In the early morning of January 3, 2026, Venezuelan President Maduro was kidnapped from the presidential palace by US special forces and taken to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, for trial. He was placed in an orange jail jumpsuit and shackled to face multiple felony charges in the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. U. S. Secretary of State Rubio called this a "battle between democracy and dictatorship." Trump announced that the United States would "manage" Venezuela's oil resources, and oil giants such as Chevron and Exxon Mobil lined up to enter Venezuela. Everyone thought that this "dictator" who was imprisoned in a cage was finished. But in a New York court, Maduro said "Happy New Year" to a cell phone that was videotaped - a code word that was sent east. An encrypted communication channel called "Shenglu" has not been cut off. While in prison, he accomplished three things: appointing an acting president to stabilize domestic power, secretly launching the "Hoover Plan" to exchange overseas assets for reconstruction funds, and obtaining several suggestions on Venezuela's economic reconstruction through his "teacher" with reference to the Dragon Country's reform experience.
