I’m the Godfather of Crime Films, and the Whole Internet Says I Should Be Investigated

"Bai Yang is the conscience of the film industry!"

"Bai Yang is also the director audiences across the internet have urged people to investigate!"

"Director Bai, forget investigating you. Hurry up and come back to make movies!"

Bai Yang transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes a young director who has just joined a practicum at CCTV. He hopes to become a world-famous director, while also taking young, budding actresses under his wing!

Who would have thought that the System would awaken, granting Bai Yang master-level directing skills and scripts for a series of crime dramas?

At the same time, CCTV orders its directors to make a crime drama with a positive message!

Fine, then. I'll start with The Knockout, satisfy the executives, and give the audience something to marvel at.

Then come The Knockout, Who Is He, Signal, Day and Night, In the Name of the People, She Shall Not Be Infringed, Memories of Murder, Detective Chinatown... and more.

When the entire internet starts digging through Bai Yang's past and viewers urge people to investigate him, he is baffled. "I'm just an ordinary godfather of crime dramas. Why do they want to look into my record?"
