Disorderly Transcendence

This is a rather bleak literary work.

The male protagonist, Zhong Song, grew up in an oppressive, bewildering environment and has always kept up a mask of false kindness. He struggles constantly within himself, longing to give his mother a perfect answer sheet, yet deeply envying his idle father. Along with some unhappy childhood experiences, his reckless youth, and his many doubts and mistrust of the human species, he gradually descends toward self-destruction amid an ever-present sense of fear and unease.
