Faced with a Ghost from the Start, I Called Wukong to Save Me

The supernatural has returned, and the living are forbidden from entering its territory.

Meng Xing transmigrates into this world carrying a strange jade pendant, never expecting that it can summon gods to possess him.

Confronted by the supernatural from the start, he summons a god for the first time, only to discover he has just one divine ability.

"Wukong, save me!"

From then on, he becomes an emissary who slays the supernatural.

"Celestial Master Zhong Kui, possess me!"

"Ancestor of the Earthly Immortals, possess me!"

"Leaders of the Three Pure Ones, possess me!"

Only then does he realize this isn't some supernatural resurgence at all. These beings have been hiding among humans all along, diligently pretending to be people.

Meng Xing opens his diary: I tossed and turned, unable to sleep. I read carefully through the night before finally making out the words between the lines. The whole book was filled with just two words:

Eat people! Eat people!
