Boss Yang's Diary: He's No Scumbag, He's a Hero

Was Yu Ye a sinner in history? And yet someone regularly lays flowers at his grave.

My name is Boss Yang. In the twenty-first century, the thing I love most is studying him. I pored over his story for ten years.

Ten years of academic research and countless investigations. He was more important to me than my work.

At an academic conference, Boss Yang returned to the past, forty years earlier. No one but her could see him, and time passed by at a dizzying speed for her.

Boss Yang's eyes lit up. “Where else could I find such a fascinating criminal to study?”

Yu Ye: “Why does this woman always carry around a little notebook?”

Boss Yang: “At first, I didn't want to get emotionally involved with this era. I just wanted to watch him live out his mad life. But later, I wanted to save him. I would use everything I had learned in my life, and everything I understood about this era, to save him, because he was an undercover anti-drug agent.”

Yu Ye: “Boss Yang said she was living for me. She said it twice: once on the eve of my death, and once just before I died...”
