Tales of the Strange

After his father dies, Zhao Yu, a wealthy second-generation heir who wastes his days in drunken stupor and has no useful skills, goes on an epic bender. When he wakes up, he discovers that he and his friends have embarked on a bizarre adventure that feels like a dream, yet isn't. Along the way, he meets all kinds of people, including the princess of the Wuling Kingdom and refugees. Meanwhile, still lost and confused, he is pushed forward by an unseen hand behind the scenes. Caught in the whirlpool, he keeps taking on different identities and experiencing one extraordinary encounter after another. Through it all, he gradually grows, earns the respect of those around him, and finally understands the meaning of responsibility and shouldering one's burdens. And sweet love is waiting for him, too.
