Back to the '80s: Building the Strongest Villain Faction

1980: An era of wild passions and rampant outlaws.

Zhang Wenjie refuses to act like a decent person from the start: he beats his hypocritical wife, forces her to divorce him, smuggles goods, sleeps with a Hong Kong superstar, and becomes Zhang Mazi.

He tells his enemies, "Me! Zhang Mazi! Pay up! I've got your son!"

He heads to neighboring Japan and sets up a security company.

He says, "If you don't behave, I'll drag you off to make movies!"

In Hong Kong, he declares, "I'm really pissed off right now! Tell Li, the richest man, to bring me 1 billion, or I'll kill the hostage!"

He plots to take over Toshiba and establish Halo Technology, trades instant noodles with the Soviets for weapons, stirs up trouble in the financial world, and ruthlessly plunders international oil and mineral resources.

Before long, he has reached the pinnacle of power, becoming the era's most formidable mastermind behind the scenes.

Years later, the safe of the head of the FBI, the world's largest intelligence agency, contains an SSS-classified file:

"Codename: Zhang Mazi. Name: Unknown. Nationality: Unknown. Identity: Head of the Dark Universe Foundation. His tentacles reach across the globe. Since the 1980s, he has been behind nearly every world-changing upheaval."
