The Heavenly Master Comes Down the Mountain, Gets Exposed and Thrown in Jail from the Start

After inheriting the traditions of the Celestial Masters, Zhang Linyu descended from the mountain to help the people.

But he was accused of being a fraud after his very first job and hauled in for questioning.

“I'm really not a con artist. I have a Taoist priest license!”

“You don't believe me? Then call and check!”

“That is a Sanqing bell, also called a soul-summoning bell. It's used to attract baleful energy during exorcism rituals.”

“That is a ghost-subduing baton. It's generally used when setting up an altar for a ritual or driving away ghosts, demons, and evil spirits.”

“You don't need to ask about the rest one by one. I'll explain it all at once.”

“From left to right, that's a ritual ruler, a command flag, a coin sword, an altar block, and a Qingxuan seal...”

“Oh, have you ever heard the saying, ‘When money's in sight, one's eyes light up’?”

“If you're interested, why not pick up that coin sword made from 108 copper coins?”

“Look through the holes in the coins on the sword, and take another look at the world.”

After desperately explaining all that, he was still treated like an idiot.

“Fine, I'll come clean. I'm a fraud who dabbles in the occult, all right!”
