Descending the Mountain to Help the World: From the Start, I Get Exposed as a Fraud and Thrown in Jail

After three years of studying the Dao, He Yihuan had mastered enough to descend the mountain and help the world.

But his very first job got him busted by a fraud investigation and hauled in for questioning.

"I'm really not a scammer. I have a Taoist license!"

"Don't believe me? Then call and check!"

"That's a Three Pure Ones Bell, also called a Soul-Summoning Bell. It's used in exorcism rituals to attract baleful energy."

"That's a Ghost-Subduing Baton. It's usually used in rituals or to drive away ghosts and evil spirits."

"Don't bother asking about the rest one by one. I'll explain everything at once."

"From left to right, that's a ritual ruler, a command flag, a coin sword, an altar block, and a Green Mystery Seal..."

"By the way, have you ever heard of seeing money and getting greedy?"

"If you're interested, pick up that coin sword made from 108 copper coins."

"Look at the world through the holes in the coins on the sword."

After desperately explaining all that, they still looked at him like he was an idiot.

"Fine, I'll come clean. I'm a fraud who dabbles in the occult, all right?"
