The Poorest Prince of Great Ming: The People Beg Me to Take the Throne

Zhu Cilang transmigrates to a parallel universe and becomes Zhu Cilang, a prince at the end of the Ming Dynasty. He obtains the System, but the Great Ming is beset by internal strife and foreign threats, impoverished and weak, and burdened with enormous debts.

When he is six, he rids the people of Fuzhou of a great menace, only to be found wearing patched clothes and eating plain greens with rice porridge.

That year, Japanese pirates invade. He is the first to stand up and fight them, but everyone sees that his followers are just refugees and women. He doesn't even have a proper guard at his side.

The common people and the civil and military officials see it all.

"He's a wise ruler. He must take the throne, or we'll kneel here for three days and three nights."

"If Zhu Cilang doesn't become emperor, I'll rebel!"

"Zhu Cilang is the only emperor I recognize! Chongzhen, you brat, give up the throne at once!"

Zhu Cilang says, "My father is the emperor," but the people across the land won't listen, and the civil and military officials won't agree. They insist he take the throne.
