Showbiz: I Signed Jay Chou from the Start to Drive My Company into Bankruptcy

After transmigrating to a parallel world, Jiang Chen binds himself to a System and receives a mission.

If he can lose ten billion through entertainment ventures, he'll receive a hundred billion.

Losing money? Easy!

He just needs to throw money at unknown newcomers who have no chance of becoming popular, right?

Once the news gets out, lots of newcomers come to apply.

One young man slurs his words when he sings and loves wearing baseball caps. He looks like a guaranteed money-loser, so Jiang Chen signs him right away. But later, the guy writes Blue-and-White Porcelain and Common Jasmine Orange. Only then does Jiang Chen realize his name is Jay Chou. And he makes a fortune...

There's a middle-aged man who's not particularly handsome and has spent ten years as an extra without making a splash. This actor is sure to lose money, so Jiang Chen decisively invests in him. But the extra who failed to make it for a decade goes on to star in Flirting Scholar and A Chinese Odyssey. That's when Jiang Chen learns the extra is Stephen Chow...

He even signs an electrician who writes novels. Surely that one will lose money, right? Damn it, the electrician writes The Three-Body Problem...

Years later, Jiang Chen becomes the richest man in the entertainment industry. A reporter asks how he managed to spot so many newcomers. Jiang Chen answers helplessly, "I was actually just trying to lose all ten billion."
