The Boy from District Five

It was a bright, sunny day, right around noon, when suddenly a gale sprang up and a downpour threatened. A bridge stood alone over the river as a boat passed beneath it. Behind the boat, a dark shape shot straight up from the water, sending up a thousand layers of waves.

Look closely: its horns were like a deer’s, its head like a camel’s, its eyes like a rabbit’s, its neck like a snake’s, its belly like a clam’s, its scales like a fish’s, its claws like an eagle’s, its paws like a tiger’s, and its ears like an ox’s. Its voice rang out like metal striking a copper pan. It had whiskers beside its mouth, a shining pearl beneath its chin, a backward-facing scale under its throat, and a mountain-shaped crest on its head.

A demon dragon had emerged from the water! It breathed out clouds, filled its mouth with smoke, then spat dragonfire that burned everything around it. Boats and fish, shrimp and ordinary people along the river, none escaped. All were engulfed in dragonfire.

Suddenly, a furious shout rang out! Before the sound had even faded, the dragon's head was already falling. With a splash, it plunged into the river. Dragon blood sprayed everywhere, extinguishing the flames. On the bridge stood a person atop the railing, holding a sword in one hand, one arm bent with the sword tucked inside the elbow. Slowly, the person drew the blade. Blood from outside the elbow dripped into the water, while inside the elbow came a piercing metallic clang.

How strange! How bizarre! How could flesh striking a sword make the clang of blades colliding? Look closely at the figure: their whole body was covered in dark blue-black nan armor, and their black cloak, soaked with dragon blood, dripped it onto the bridge.
