A weak chicken, a mid-level mage can fight many slave-level monsters, but the protagonist has a hard time fighting three, and has died dozens of times when encountering a warrior-level monster. A slave-level demon may not have the mental power of even one level. Only mid-level mages can reach the first level of mental power, and high-level mages can reach the second or third level of mental power. Ordinary level three fire can kill a giant-eyed rat in two or three blows. Level-3 fire with a spiritual seed can easily kill a one-eyed demon wolf. A one-eyed demon wolf can kill two or three giant-eyed rats. The protagonist has to be a mid-level mage to be blind.

The longer you practice, the higher your practice efficiency will be. (This is a second assumption) This shouldn't be considered a secondary design, otherwise an ordinary mid-level mage would practice for 4'5 hours a day and still be useless at it.
