Having read the last book, I suggest that the author should step out of his comfort zone.
I've only read less than fifty chapters of the last book, and the protagonist has solved several cases. It's over before the mood is aroused, and there are no foreshadowings. It feels like the protagonist is enjoying himself or watching a mystery game. The short length of the story makes it difficult to arouse readers' emotions (it's cool). The writing is excellent but the setting is weak and unspectacular (there is no copy). When accumulated, it cannot build up the wonderful world in the text. In my opinion, the author has the potential to become a great writer like Squid. There is no shortage of great male writers in Qidian. I hope that the author can hold up another chapter of Qidian in the future. (It's getting harder and harder for old bookworms to find suitable food. I accidentally said a few grumbling words here. Don't blame the author! Also, if I got the gender wrong, I'll kowtow here and admit my mistake first, bang bang bang!)
