Vikings: Overlord of the Ice Sea
by Flying Guppy
About This Novel
In the fjord, the sea surface is calm, reflecting the leaden gray clouds in the sky, and groups of ravens are circling back and forth, indicating that the biting cold wind is about to move south. This is the first scene the protagonist sees when he travels to Northern Europe in the ninth century AD. He became an ordinary yeoman farmer, owning only a barren and desolate wheat field. For hundreds of years, the glory of the Roman Empire fell into dust, the world fell apart, and kings fought endlessly against each other. In this turbulent and dark Middle Ages, his first priority was to survive and then find a way to end this troubled world...

Do you think that you just came here and took a local Anglian as your wife, and now you have conquered the Goths and the Tyrians and there is no marriage? Also, as a Viking myself and without a Viking wife, do you think your political framework is reasonable? It has always been there at the top of the mountain, and of course it is still young and there is still a chance to adjust. . .
Several chapters have begun and the protagonist only appears in half of the chapter, which degrades the viewing experience.
The protagonist is caught by a black-hearted king and works part-time without having time to develop the fiefdom. He has to help the king develop his territory seriously. It is really a shame. What good does it do to the protagonist.
A rare novel about Vikings
Well written, intellectually online, very interesting
One point is deducted because there is no map. I hope the author will post a map of Weig's current empire.
Why are there fewer and fewer?
Wasn't it three updates before? Why is it now two updates?
Not moving anymore? I'm so slow to follow the new ones, thinking about fattening up, but now I'm a little afraid of being unfinished
The plot is smooth, there are no characters who are clever, and the characters are delicately carved. The main line is not clear yet. If you continue to watch, the updates are too slow.

Four stars, medieval Viking conquest of Britain

A Viking was reborn as a farmer in Northern Europe. He accidentally became a mercenary and turned against a lord. The mercenary became a lord, and the protagonist naturally became his bodyguard. In the later period, he went to sea to rob and help the lord become a king and occupied England. He was a duke, expanded his territory, and started farming. It has some medieval Thrones game style.

A time traveler among a bunch of Viking hunks The biggest feature of this book is that it restores the style of the Viking Age The main line is: how to transition from tribe to country, how do tribal tough men adapt to become rulers of feudal countries It is a pity that the author's gaze has always been on the upper level, and he did not write about how the warrior group gradually lost power when the tribe transitioned to the state, and the "Roman-style" citizens of the tribe gradually turned into feudal common people. The lack of this part makes the book become cliché, which is a pity for the subject matter.

Rating: (6/10) Thoughts: "Life will come to an end, only the name can make you immortal." The protagonist traveled back in time to the ninth century and became a Viking yeoman. However, by chance, he met Ragnar, who had not yet made his fortune. From the invasion of the Isle of Breton to the sacking of Paris, he finally became the Duke of Tynecastle, and is now officially the King of Breton. The background is sophisticated, the details are rich, and there are no historical flaws. Hope: I will be lucky to land smoothly. Although it is rich in details, the author has not laid out the plot in a reasonable way. The narrative is as straightforward as boiled water. The protagonist's life is so smooth that it seems to be a cheat, and his personality is not outstanding. The image of an ambitious man who is always watching with cold eyes until the right time to harvest the results. However, the author has not fleshed out this inner thought, which makes the protagonist even more hypocritical. It has been criticized for its hydrology, but without any improvement, it is considered a qualified grain.
