This novel may not be that trashy, but I just read a similar trashy novel recently.
That idiot novel is called "Fear of Food". The feeling from the beginning of this novel is exactly the same as that one. The protagonist is always talking about how there is nothing he can do, and has been helplessly accepting that he is being treated like a dog by the villain. In fact, he has fallen into that situation. It is all the fault of these idiot protagonists. As long as he is not an idiot, he is a normal person. Ordinary people's IQs are not that bad, and then we ordinary readers watch these stupid protagonists say what we ordinary people say, ordinary people can't be abused all the time. I can accept that the villain in the setting is very strong, so the protagonist cannot beat him, but I can't accept that the villain is not that strong in fact, he is just the protagonist. You have to be a fool to be so miserable, and the first part of this novel is just like what I commented on. It feels like a stick to me. I don't know if there is any improvement in the later part, but I really can't make it to the end. The previous part really convinced me. Can't you strengthen the villain? Even if you say that a god has nothing to do, you have to punish the protagonist. I will I can accept it. I really can't accept the idea that an ordinary person with some rights or even no rights can beat the protagonist to death with just a name. I feel that it is better than a passing gangster beating the protagonist up than an ordinary ordinary person pretending to be the protagonist who can't help but be beaten by him.
