In 2241, the natural environment on Earth has been severely damaged by humanity, and nuclear waste continues to pile up. Some of the other life forms on the planet are forced to undergo terrifying evolution in an extremely short time, becoming highly aggressive. Humans call these mutated creatures Leviathans. Eventually, humanity has no choice but to relocate to space stations known as Harbors. Since resources in space are scarce, especially minerals, some people are sent to the surface to establish outposts called Islands and mine resources for the space stations. To protect the ground crews, Harbor develops a way to extract human consciousness and store it in a core System called Cabin, then transfer it into combat robots called Arks. These robots are controlled in battle by human consciousness, and the humans who operate them are known as Braves. The department responsible for this program is named Lighthouse.
