This is the first time I have taken the initiative to read such a long novel about the Republic of China. The writing is exquisite, the emotions are rich, and the characters are three-dimensional. It is really the best.

I feel that the plot of this novel is quite good, but there are two problems. First, looking at the overall plot, I feel that the plot is still a bit unclear: especially the relationship between the characters in their families. I can't recall the relationship between them and the conflicts between them. The author doesn't need to write so complicatedly. Don't use their words and names all at once, so that you can't tell who is who. The second is the biggest problem with this novel: the plot jumps too suddenly. Does anyone feel this way? I admit that this novel is good-looking for me, but it has no transitional plot after the previous turning point. It just tells the middle process and result of the next plot, which is equivalent to not having a story beginning. As a result, it will be a bit abrupt and a bit inconsistent. The author can improve it a lot. We are not afraid of being accused of cramming the word count.

Although the author is a fictional story, everything you read will be put into the Republic of China period. I personally feel that the ending is a bit too satisfactory for that era. The heroine is already extremely wealthy when she is under 20 years old, but she is still unable to resist the arranged marriage. There are quite a lot of characters in it, and usually one person will bring out a whole family, so you need to be patient when watching!

Putting aside the author's ostentatious words, the emotions and characters of the male and female protagonists and supporting characters are simply stunning. The plot is really thrilling and worth watching.
