Broken Sea of Consciousness: I Prove the Eternal Way Through a Shattered Dao

In a war-torn mountain village, monsters slaughter the settlement, leaving the orphan Shen Ji to scrape by.

His spiritual roots are shattered from birth, his soul incomplete, and a congenital rift in his sea of consciousness will never heal. Everyone deems him a cripple who will never be able to cultivate.

Desperate for a chance to survive, he kneels at the gates of an immortal sect and becomes its lowest-ranking servant disciple, enduring bullying, exploitation, and humiliation.

No one knows that his naturally incomplete soul is actually the most extraordinary foundation for cultivation in the world!

Ordinary people can only cultivate complete, orthodox techniques. The more they cultivate, the more closely they conform to the shackles of the Heavenly Dao, until they become nourishment for the world and are ultimately harvested by the eternal Heavenly Dao.

Shen Ji alone refuses to absorb complete spiritual energy or cultivate the orthodox path.

He takes in discarded spiritual remnants, ruined traces of the Dao, broken techniques, and the lingering thoughts of fallen cultivators,

using remnants to strengthen his foundation and broken Dao fragments to build his path to immortality. He lies low in desperate straits and finds a way to survive in the jaws of death.

He bides his time, conceals his edge, plays the fool, and repays every kindness and grievance, making killing his way to survive.

When countless prodigies, sects, and ancient powers have all become livestock raised by the Heavenly Dao,

Shen Ji will shatter the illusions of eternity. With his broken foundation, he will break free of the cages of the myriad heavens and attain supreme immortality!
