To bring Xiao Mingyue back to life, Gu Beiyi enters a world trapped in a seven-day time loop. The world is divided in two, with Hell and the Realm of Light continually cycling and resetting. After entering Hell, he encounters Xiao Mingyue's soul and Jackson. In a battle of laws against the primordial demon, he chooses not to destroy his foe, instead exploiting a loophole in the rules to end the loop and restore balance between the two realms. Once the cycle ends, Xiao Mingyue regains her body, but the threat of the gray mists from beyond the realm remains. Gu Beiyi and his companions join forces with the living beings of every race to protect the new world and fight off the invading mist monsters.
