At Dragon-Subduing Temple on Wolong Ridge, the Daoist masters all left to travel afar, leaving behind only their lay disciple, Sun Dayou, a cross-eyed man tasked with guarding the temple. He has no interest in cultivating the Dao and thinks only of going down the mountain to play mahjong. The only one left to keep him company is his simple-minded younger brother, Sun Eryou. With the mind of a young child, Sun Eryou spends his days hugging the pillars in the main hall and calling himself a giant panda. He's always disheveled, but possesses an extraordinary ability: though he has no yin-yang eyes, he can see the ghosts and spirits of this world.
