Mapping the Veins After Prison: A New Beginning in the Shattered Mine of Liudao Ravine

Three years in prison wore away Chen Dongzhi's sharp edges, but could not take away the skill he had learned in his youth, prospecting for mineral veins.

After serving his sentence, all he wanted was to leave the past behind, find steady work, and start living an honest life again.

Old acquaintance Tian comes looking for him, offering a handsome sum to have him lead a team to survey the mineral veins at the abandoned Liudaogou copper mine.

Chen Dongzhi takes his brothers into the mountains. Strange things start happening as soon as they enter the mine: the tunnel's magnetic field is in disarray, the railway tracks break out of nowhere, and the group stumbles into a secret tunnel left behind by the Japanese occupiers when they plundered the mine.

Passing through a Japanese-style locked iron gate, they uncover a secret buried for decades deep inside the mountain.

This place is supposedly a copper mine, but hidden underground is an astonishing vein of gold!

Chen Dongzhi quickly sees through it: he and his brothers are nothing but pawns used by Tian and the powerbroker behind the scenes to scout the way and die.

The underground death trap is filled with danger at every turn. The group narrowly escapes death time and again, eventually making it out through an abandoned well deep in the mountains.

The moment he uncovers the truth about the Liudaogou copper mine, his old life is over for good. With evidence of the secret tunnel in hand, a battle over the underground gold slowly unfolds. Chen Dongzhi's new life after prison begins here.
