He Yuzhu's Life in the Courtyard

In the 1960s, He Yuzhu works in the canteen of a steel mill and lives in a quadrangle courtyard full of constant drama.

A mild cold jolts him out of his daze. He resolves to quit bad habits like smoking and stop being blindly kind.

No System, no pocket dimension, no golden finger: he relies solely on his formidable cooking skills.

Seeing through the warmth and coldness of his courtyard neighbors, he navigates relationships amid the tides of the times, steadily advances his career, finds a good match, and builds an ordinary, fulfilling life of his own.
