“The Heavens Have Lost Their Way”, Three thousand years after the Immortal Court collapsed, the Heavenly Dao is incomplete, and all living beings cultivate while afflicted by illness. The protagonist’s golden finger is essentially an errata sheet for Heaven and Earth. The thrill of leveling up is tightly bound to unraveling the world’s mysteries, setting this novel apart from ordinary System stories.
The main plot turns three times: it starts as a power fantasy, with a mine slave rising from the bottom; in the middle, it turns into a mystery, as the golden finger proves to be the key to the Immortal Court’s destruction; and in the end, it takes a philosophical turn, pitting the villain’s “tear down the Heavens and remake them” against the protagonist’s “patch up the Heavens and make do,” two different answers from mine slaves of the same origin.
