The long historical novel "The Ancestor of Bloody Loyalty" is the second work in the "Bloody Loyalty" series (six in total). This book is set against the background of the troubled times at the turn of the two Jin Dynasties, and tells the story of Zu Ti, a famous general in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, who lived a magnificent and unfulfilled life. Zu Ti was born into a wealthy family in the North, and he had the world in mind when he was young. Faced with the collapse of the Central Plains and the southern invasion of Hu Qi after the "Eight Kings Rebellion", he took an oath at Jingkou and led his troops to cross the Yangtze River and march north. In the land of Yuzhou, he defeated the strong with the weak, outsmarted Shi Le's general Tao Bao, recruited heroes, and recovered a large area of land south of the Yellow River under the iron heel of the Hu people. However, just when he was aiming directly at the Yellow River and preparing to unify the Central Plains, he was unable to fulfill his ambition due to court suspicion and civil strife. He eventually became ill from grief and anger and died of illness on the front line of the Northern Expedition. The novel panoramically reproduces Zu Ti's efforts in "hearing the chickens dance", his heroism in "hitting the sticks in the middle of the stream", and his and Liu Kun's "double stars looking into the distance" feelings of family and country, and eulogizes the indomitable national backbone of the Chinese nation.
