His girlfriend of four years dumped him after becoming a superstar.
To make matters worse, a crazed fan of the superstar hit him over the head with a brick, giving him a concussion.
But that wasn't the most important thing. The most important thing was that when Li Zhan woke up, he discovered he'd been bound to a Demon King System. If he didn't become one of the entertainment industry's top celebrities, the Demon King System would kill him.
He joined The Voice of China and won the championship on the finale night. Overnight, Li Zhan became famous nationwide and rose to the top.
Confronted by celebrities in the entertainment industry who were eyeing him hungrily, and crazed haters who kept calling him expressionless and talentless, Li Zhan chuckled. "I'm not singling anyone out. I'm saying everyone here is garbage."
