Han Descendants of the Jin Court

The mountains are what we keep looking back at; the sea is what we can never forget.

On the day Jiang Wei died in the great fire at Chengdu, the last light of the Han Empire faded for good. The Jin stood beside his corpse and picked up a gallbladder as large as a bushel. They looked at one another in disbelief.

The Western Jin Empire was founded on this victory, but the future it led to was a bitter one. Forty years later, the land would be filled with wailing, the Nine Provinces ravaged, corpses piled high and the dead lying in heaps.

Amid this apocalyptic chaos, duty and fate set Liu Xian, Liu Bei’s great-grandson and the Anle Duke’s heir, born and raised in this world, on a journey to restore the Han. He followed in the footsteps of his teacher and the Han’s ancestors, meeting once again the descendants of old enemies and family friends such as Cao Cao, Sun Quan, Lu Xun, Lu Zhi, and Xun Yu. Then, tested amid political struggles and war, he transformed and rose to new heights.

At first, he stood alone. When he looked back, he had become the people’s chosen one.
