Eight hundred years into the Great Li Dynasty, the realm is in chaos. Powerful factions carve up the land, gangs spring up everywhere, demon sects wreak havoc, and all sides wage war against one another. In this troubled age, a country boy sells himself to a gang to protect his family, all for the chance to carve out a way to survive. (A series about becoming less than human.)
