The Han King Calls for Rebellion

After transmigrating to the Ming dynasty, Zhou Guangmei can’t understand it. How could the Yongle Emperor lead an expedition against the Mongols twenty years ago, only for the Tumu Crisis to happen twenty years later?

What exactly was Zhu Zhanji, the all-rounder praised by so many scholars and credited with ushering in the Ren and Xuande reigns, doing in the meantime?

What!?

He abandoned Kaiping in the north and Jiaozhi in the south, ignored Korea’s northward expansion, let the Oirats grow powerful, and stood by as Luchuan rose?

And worst of all, he slandered my whole family by accusing us of conspiring to rebel alongside the Prince of Han?

Well, there’s no helping it. When someone says you’re rebelling, you might as well actually rebel.

“That big, fat Zhu Zhanji is useless. For the sake of the Great Ming, Prince of Han, let’s rebel!”
