Seven hundred years ago, An Lushan rebelled and summoned an evil god from beyond the realm. The Heavenly Dao was corrupted by the evil god and developed a will of its own.
Five hundred years ago, the Tang Dynasty fell. The warlords fought among themselves, and the already precarious divine order collapsed overnight. Demons began to rise.
After a century of warfare, fewer than one in ten people remained. The world was on the verge of becoming a playground for demons, until Taizu Guo Wei swept away the warlords and established the Great Zhou. Shizu Guo Rong then pacified the demonic scourge, pulling the world back from the brink.
Four hundred years have passed since then. The demons are stronger than ever, and the Great Zhou has grown rotten. What will become of the world?
Then, one day, a dazed little Daoist arrived at Wudang Mountain.
