This is a future age. The period before the Third World War in the twenty-first century was called the Near Ancient Era; after the end of the Fourth World War, it was defined as the Near Modern Era. Only after a breakthrough in physics did the Modern Era begin. It is an age in which civilizations, nations, and societies have begun to devote their resources to interfering with space-time and planes of existence.
Earth is the Main World, the only true realm among all the myriad spacetime continuums. Once technology opened the crystal wall, the mad dogs of Earth began to gaze out at the myriad realms.
