This is the forty-thousandth year of the Empire's rule over the galaxy. The glory of the Great Crusade has long since vanished into the dust of history. Su Yu transmigrates into this world and opens his eyes to a ruined planet, utterly bewildered.
Across this planet stretch war machines, thousands of kilometers long and reduced to utter ruin. There are alien behemoths whose roars can shatter mountains and rivers, and irradiated beasts whose very movements cause even greater devastation to their surroundings.
This place has everything, except hope.
Whether he likes it or not, after struggling to survive for three years, Su Yu has inevitably contracted radiation sickness. He seems destined to become one of the despairing masses.
Then the career panel that lets him change classes without limit finally activates.
“Ding!”
“Host has met the prerequisites. Would you like to take up the profession [Mechanic]?”
“By completing daily tasks in your profession, such as repairing, salvaging, and assembling mechanical creations, you can gain profession experience and raise your profession level. Each level-up will enhance your physical capabilities...”
Looking at the piles of old gun parts in his repair shop, Su Yu's eyes lit up with a brightness he'd never felt before!
Years later, at the heart of the Empire, atop the world of Terra, Su Yu, the Mechanic from a ruined planet, the Ghost Blade of the Silent Wasteland, the one who restarted the Titan Project, Governor of the Shattered Starfields, Lord of Mechanical Ascension, and Supreme Ruler of the Forge World, gazed at the flood of steel gathering below and raised his hand to give the order!
“Our goal is to make the (second) (crossed out) Empire great again!”
