Yue Guan is hailed as the man who brought five thousand years of Chinese history to life.
From Qin Shi Huang, who unified the lands in every direction, to Emperor Wu of Han, who expanded the empire's borders; from Tang Taizong, peerless in military strategy, to the Yongle Emperor, who turned the tide against all odds, and even the mythical King Zhou of Shang.
In five thousand years of Chinese history, there is no emperor Yue Guan can't play. He has created countless iconic screen portrayals of emperors, so iconic that many people simply address him as Your Majesty.
Yue Guan has always been modest about it: I am merely an actor.
