A Heart Captured

(The arrogant, haughty number-one villainess vs. the domineering, overbearing number-one villain)

Mu Wantang, the eldest daughter of the Mu family in Nancheng, is beautiful and willful. Known for her fickle ways, she has earned a reputation as the most wicked young lady among the city’s elite.

One day, she marries Chu Beiyan, Nancheng’s most wicked man. Neither of them shows up for the wedding, but their elders arrange everything, and the two become husband and wife all the same.

From then on, Mu Wantang has a powerful protector. Whenever a man approaches her, she smiles sweetly and says, “My husband has a fearsome reputation. He kills, sets fires, and does every kind of evil. He’s especially jealous, and his heart is so small that even a pinhole would be too big for it. If he finds out a man has approached me, he’ll make a scene. The man will either lose an arm or a leg, or he won’t live to see the next day.”

When the villain Chu Beiyan hears this, he turns to Mu Wantang and says, “Since Miss Mu is using my wife’s name, shouldn’t you show up when I miss you?”

She finds the act a little too enjoyable. The bold and dazzling Mu Wantang drives the woman who once held Chu Beiyan’s heart out of the picture, while the arrogant and domineering Chu Beiyan takes over Mu Wantang’s whole heart.

The timing is just right, and we haven’t met too late. You were always meant to be mine.
