Weaving the Ming

In the eleventh year of Chongzhen's reign, the land lay barren for thousands of miles, and the people were scattered...

Li Zicheng: "Take Kaifeng Prefecture, and I'll eat Zhang Cheng alive!"

Zhang Xianzhong: "Who is Zhang Cheng? Don't be afraid, Zicheng. I'll help you fight him."

Dorgon: "My younger brother Zhang Cheng, I bestow upon you the title of Prince Who Stands Shoulder to Shoulder with Me. Will you share the realm with me?"

Chongzhen: "With Zhang Cheng at my side, why should I fear that the rebels won't be pacified, the Tatars destroyed, or the nations of the world failing to come pay homage?"

Zhang Cheng: "Wherever the light of the sun and moon shines is Ming territory. Everyone beneath that light is a subject of Ming.

The Ming realm shall span ten thousand miles and endure for ten thousand generations!"

The Ming dynasty's final days must come to an end.

The realm of the Han people shall endure forever!
