It's the tail end of Season 6 when Xu Cheng happens to discover League of Legends and realizes he's pretty talented at the game.
His demanding schoolwork forces him to give up ranked and stick mostly to normal games.
Since he's so good, Xu Cheng gradually lets loose, pulling all sorts of stunts and deliberately making the game harder for himself.
And so...
He starts doing all kinds of things that seem absurd to outsiders but are incredibly entertaining: going out without buying items, deliberately staying an entire item behind, surviving turret shots with a sliver of health and getting revenge kills, taking turns showing off on all five roles, and playing a support as the team's main carry...
Sometimes, looking at his opponents, Xu Cheng can't help thinking with a sigh: They're too weak. Regular players are really too weak. When will I get to face some truly skilled opponents?
What he doesn't know is that Riot has updated the ranked system, and ranked queue has been temporarily shut down.
Countless big-name streamers, celebrity players, and pros have no choice but to play normal games.
And the ordinary players he humiliates, tramples, and messes around with every day are all superstars famous across the scene!
Uzi: “Whoa, I like this guy!”
Zz1tai: “I swear I didn't even feed. How'd I trigger the kill detector?”
Clearlove: “Drawing 4396 with your abilities, huh? You little brat, your account's done for!”
Xiaohu: “Someone get this guy drug-tested!”
Xiye: “A low-elo game? More like a suicide mission!”
JackeyLove: “Report this guy. He's cheating. If he isn't, I'll stand on my head and take a dump!”
The stars all look baffled. “This is normal queue? Are normal players this good now?”
