The Beloved Maid of the Fourteenth Prince in the Qing Dynasty

Not long after Qu Yi entered the Fourteenth Prince’s household, she realized that His Highness was... probably reborn! Just look at the way he stared at the Fourth Prince. He looked ready to eat him alive. And the way he looked at his imperial father and mother? Oh dear, you’re about to give yourself away! Qu Yi had to be careful to keep it under wraps and make sure the reborn Fourteenth Prince didn’t catch on. At least she was only a maid, so it probably wouldn’t be a big deal. But the Fourteenth Prince wouldn’t let her stay a maid. He insisted she be moved into his household, and Qu Yi nearly cried. The women in the household were all Manchus, while Qu Yi was Han Chinese and had to tread carefully. The Fourteenth Prince seemed to have finally figured things out and started doing whatever he pleased. He was annoyed with everyone, no longer hanging around his dear Eighth Brother or being close to his dear Ninth Brother. Every day he picked fights with heaven, earth, and even thin air, leaving the Fourth Prince fuming. Watching him made Qu Yi’s heart tremble. What would he do when the Fourth Prince became emperor? After picking fights for several years, the Fourteenth Prince must have thought of that too. He began working hard to win the position of heir apparent... But what if he failed?
