What's it like to look so much like a villain?
Wu Zui considers himself an honest, decent young man of the modern age.
He's never done anything bad in his life. The worst thing he ever did was hide a test paper after getting thirty points as a child.
But Wu Zui has always had one problem.
He looks far too much like a villain. Once, his neighbors reported him seven times in one week for “suspicious behavior.” When he went out to buy a serving of Dingding cake, a patrol officer warned him not to cause trouble. When he happened to pass by a fight, he was arrested as the mastermind and hauled in.
It has always made Wu Zui miserable.
Then, during a trip to Hengdian, a director desperately looking for someone to fill a role happened to spot him.
It was love at first sight, forever.
Director: “You're the one! You're exactly who I've been looking for!”
From then on, Wu Zui embarked on a one-way road. He became the most terrifying person on the screen. When people asked how he could play villains so convincingly, the director would usually answer, “Wu Zui just needs to hold back a little.”
Someone once calculated that all the characters Wu Zui has played would take four crates of bullets to execute.
