Wu Yuan is reborn in 1988, just after completing his apprenticeship as a carpenter.
His snobbish wife from his past life, with whom he lasted only three months, is about to marry into his family.
Wu Yuan would never jump into the same fire pit twice.
There is no way he will squander this hard-won chance to be reborn trying to warm a cold heart that never belonged to him.
With that time, he could easily choose someone better.
The pretty daughter of the village Party secretary would do nicely.
Even though his family has nothing but four bare walls.
Even though he is all alone.
He has more than thirty years of experience and insight, along with carpentry skills that have reached the level of perfection.
And so Wu Yuan's rebirth begins with carpentry.
