Born Under an Ominous Star? The Princess Consort Returns and Goes on a Killing Spree

Liu Zhao, the unlucky legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Changning's household.

Her stepmother called her a bringer of bad luck, and her worthless father threw her out. She was stabbed twenty times and fell off a cliff.

The good news: she survived. The bad news: her enemies think she's dead.

Five years later, the capital was rocked: the marquis's legitimate daughter, who supposedly died a gruesome death in a fall, had come back from the dead!

She returned transformed, ready to collect her debts, while her family scrambled to keep up appearances.

Liu Zhao: Don't rush. I'll deal with you one at a time.

From then on... she lay around pretending to be dead by day, and went out with a knife to kill by night.

The marquis's legitimate daughter is a murderous fiend? Everyone in the capital knows it.

Night has fallen. Big Miss Liu is once again heading out with her knife.

But this time, her target is the emperor's son.

People across the land rush to make excuses for her: "The prince must have brought it on himself. Miss Liu was right to kill him."

And what of Shen Yanzheng, the Prince of Zhaoming, renowned for his military exploits?

At first meeting: This woman is trouble.

Later: My wife is invincible! Who do you want to take down? I'll hand you the knife.

Liu Zhao opens schools for girls and establishes charitable institutions, helping women everywhere hold their heads high.

Later, Shen Yanzheng ascends the throne and pins her against the headboard, sharing tender moments with her day after day.

"Zhao'er, I'll give you this empire. Will you love me again, please...?"
