Twenty Years on the Streets of Sanjiang

In 1993, torrential rain flooded the Sanjiangkou docks. Chen Tiezhu, a fifteen-year-old boy from Northeast China, headed south with his disabled veteran father.

When he first arrived in the south, he suffered every kind of abuse. His limping father drew on his experience as a scout to teach him how to read people and assess a situation.

He gathered a group of dockside brothers and faced the southern jungle's rules with the northern code of loyalty, fighting his way out of the mud with nothing but his bare hands.

Over twenty years of upheaval, he took on bullies, fought port merchants, and crossed swords with corporate giants.

In a jianghu dream of flashing blades and bloodshed, no one can escape being swept along by the tides of the times.
