The Palm-Bone Medical Records: An Orphan Girl Refuses to Be a Pawn

For generations, the Shen family served in the judicial system, passing down a secret bone-diagnosis technique. By feeling a skeleton, one could discern its injuries, distinguish truth from falsehood, and expose the crimes and lies hidden behind the world’s many disguises. A frame-up brought the entire family to ruin. Shen Yu concealed her identity and disguised herself as a man to work in the forensic chambers. With deft hands, she examined both the dead and the living, determined to uncover the truth buried with her family. One case concealed another, and every scheme hid a deeper plot. She exposed cases of murder disguised with false injuries and tore away the masks of the powerful, step by step entering the raging whirlpool of court politics. Lu Yanci, an assistant judge at the Supreme Court, trusted no one’s word and believed only in physical evidence. At first, he suspected her mysterious origins and kept her at arm’s length. Later, he was willing to face blades and bloodshed by her side. “Everyone treats women as pawns. I will use bones as evidence and my skill as a blade to overturn this whole court of filth.” A blood feud must be avenged, and the world’s injustices must be righted. When the fog finally clears, she will want neither wealth nor power. She will simply practice medicine among the people and protect all those who have been wronged.
